Janhvi Kapoor Opens Up About Being Compared To Late Mother Sridevi; Says She ‘Feels The Pressure More Now’
Actor Janhvi Kapoor who is the elder daughter of late iconic actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak. Since then, she showed her acting ability by featuring in movies like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Roohi. However, in a recent chat, Janhvi revealed that it is not easy to impress her mother Sridevi with something. Coming from a film family has its advantages but disadvantages also tag along, not just nepotism, but there is a constant meter of comparison that goes between Janhvi and her mother Sridevi who was one of the greatest actresses of her generation.

On being asked about the same, Janhvi told DNA about how the Mr India actor was worried about Kapoor being compared to her. Janhvi says she sometimes is being compared to her late mother Sridevi but now, she feels the pressure. “Yes, definitely. Earlier, that was something my mom would worry about. She had once said, ‘I hope you’re not compared to me because I have done 300 films and this is your first’. I, somehow, never thought about it. I feel the pressure more now than I did when I was shooting Dhadak,” she said. She also emphasised the fact that she doesn’t want to disappoint anyone with her performance who have been showering praises till now but want to make her own name in the craft as well.

Meanwhile, Janhvi has found her niche and is doing her best in the space. The 24-year-old actor is currently basking in success and appreciation for her recently released film, Roohi. Arjun Kapoor’s sister will next be seen in Dostana 2, Good Luck Jerry and Takht.
